Squiggle

Squiggle enables architects, designers, and artists to add style, excitement and emphasis to presentations, brochures, and other promotional materials. Research has revealed that clients find hand-drawn sketches of their preliminary designs appealing since they appear softer, and even more realistic!

Squiggle works by reading the CAD file and allowing the user to vary the width and/or colour of each of up to 255 lines/pens and applying an unlimited number of "hand-drawn" styles to each line. Styles include Dashed, Fuzzy, Napkin, Sketch, Shaky, Steady and Wavy. There are also other parameters that can be combined to produce your own creative styles, such as Bend, Slide, Sputter, Thicken, Tilt, and Wiggle. The results are not predictable – just like the human hand!

The latest version, Squiggle 6.0 has the following new features,

	Support for AutoCAD 2006 and earlier drawings
	Increased drawing support (plot style tables, xrefs, hatch patterns, etc.)
	Simplified user interface
	Improved printing features (plot to scale, plot window, etc.)
	Export vector graphics (PDF, DWF, EMF, WMF, SVG)

Squiggle works with AutoCAD, AutoCAD LT, AutoSketch, MicroStation, ALLPLAN, CADkey, DataCAD, DesignCAD, Drawbase, DynaCADD, EasyCAD, TurboCAD or any CAD, drawing or graphics application that outputs HPGL2, DWG, and DXF files.

SignatureCAD has made a patch for Squiggle 6 that corrects a number of faults. This patch can be downloaded free of charge to existing Squiggle 6 users from www.signaturecad.com. The patch contains the following corrections …

	Support paper size changes for all printers and plotters
	Allow print preview option for network printers
	Fixed PDF scaling issue
	Restored drawing after printing
	Added squiggle intensity edit box
	Removed spaces when verifying product ID number
	Restored background colour after print preview
	Fixed issue of squiggle intensity not retaining its value
	Plot style colour issue resolved
	Updated layer state of named views
	Replaced the Preferences’ Select Directory dialog box
