Brava! Enterprise
Brava! Enterprise is a Java-based engineering document viewing application. It is a multi-platform viewer designed to operate over the Internet or within an Intranet or Extranet. Its a 100 percent web-based viewer that is ideal for supply chain collaboration and project web sites. The Brava! client either works as a Java applet inside Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer or as an ActiveX component of Microsoft Internet Explorer. As a client/server viewer, Brava! works in conjunction with the Brava! Server. The Brava! Server converts documents from their native format to an optimised display format for the Brava! client. The Brava! client runs as an applet within a browser. This functionality gives Brava! portability and versatility with zero client maintenance by IT personnel. Brava! has the following features, Viewing: Brava! views documents in many different formats, offering flexible and near universal viewing capability. There are controls to zoom, pan, scale to grey, and select CAD layers. Drawing and image formats include AutoCAD, CALS, HPGL, JPEG, MicroStation, SolidWorks, PDF and TIFF. Document formats include popular word processor, spreadsheet and bitmap formats. There is a Text Search facility with the ability to copy to the clipboard. Printing: Brava! is configurable to generate ISO 9000-compliant bannering and watermarking. Output can be directed to any Windows device, and there's a Print to Scale option for drawings. Markup: Brava! offers a range of markup functions, including: line, line arrow, sketch, arc, rectangle, ellipse, polygon, cloud, rectangle highlight, ellipse highlight, polygon eclipse, cross-out, rectangle hide, ellipse hide, polygon hide, text, sticky notes and Changemarks. Markup attributes such as fill/non-filled, line width, colour, fonts and font size are also included. Markup files are stored on the server. Recipients see redlines exist indicator and have redline navigator for multi-page documents. Measurement: Brava clients can measure lengths, perimeters and areas using snaps, precision control and auto-scale calibration. Publishing: Brava! can publish (convert) files to Informative Graphics' own Content Sealed Format (CSF), which incorporates Informative Graphics' own Visual Rights security framework. Visual Rights gives authors selective and persistent security controls over the content of published material. Markups can be “burned-in” to CSF files, and the Block-out feature (redaction) allows users to hide specific file content from view, text search and print. CSF files are viewable by all Brava products, including a free reader that can be distributed along with CSF files. Brava can also publish (convert) files into PDF or TIFF formats. Integration: Brava! is customisable on either the client or server side so that it can run seamlessly with a variety of applications, such as Document Management Systems.
